The AUS is looking for students to sit on the Faculty of Arts Council, a general faculty caucus dealing with academic programs, policy and student affairs. Representatives will work collaboratively to solicit student opinion on important issues and communicate these priorities to the administration. This is a great opportunity to advocate for students as well as a chance to meet regularly with members of the Faculty of Arts administration. The committee will meet from 3-5pm on the following Tuesdays: Sept 30, Nov 25, Jan 27, Mar 10, Apr 14.

In addition, spots are available on the following Program Committees, meetings of which will be scheduled by individual directors:

– African Studies

– Quebec Studies

– History & Philosophy of Science

– Latin American & Caribbean Studies

– Women’s Studies

– Indigenous Studies

To apply for any of these opportunities, please send a recent CV, along with a 150-200 word paragraph outlining your interest and relevant experience, to the AUS VP Academic at academic.aus@mail.mcgill.ca. Please indicate which committee(s) you are interested in and include your name, student number, phone number, year and program. The deadline to apply is Monday, September 8th at 5pm.
