How’s September going for you? Can’t believe we’re already into the third week of our term. I’ve survived August and September, including but not limited to AUS Frosh (a fantastic event this year run by our amazing VP Social Kyle Rouhani), Departmental Orientation, two sessions of AUS Council, and our Executive Retreat.
I’d like to tell you about a few opportunities coming up in my portfolio:
- Constitutional and By-Law Review Committee Members
Are you interested in constitutional policy and design? Are you looking for experience in reviewing by-laws and policies? The AUS has such an opportunity for you! Join the CBRC, the Constitutional and By-Law Review Committee, a committee that reviews the AUS’ policies, by-laws and constitutions. Email Ava Liu, president.aus@mail.mcgill.ca, with 1) a short paragraph explaining your interest in this opportunity 2) your CV by Monday, September 29th.
- Work Your B.A. Coordinators (1 or 2)
Work Your B.A. is our annual Career event, held in conjunction with the McGill Career Planning Service (CaPS) from January 20-30, 2015. We are looking for 2 or 3 Coordinators to help plan the event, which includes finding speakers, organizing networking events, and coordinating promotion and logistics for the event. If interested, please send your CV and cover letter to AUS President, Ava Liu, at president.aus@mail.mcgill.ca by Sunday, September 21st. In your letter, please suggest an interactive event that will help Arts students with their career plans.
